PUGET SOUND ONE-DESIGN RACING PROGRAM
SPECIFIC EVENT SAILING INSTRUCTIONS


These Specific Event Sailing Instructions shall be applied together with the General Sailing Instructions for the Puget Sound One-Design Racing Program. In case of conflict, the Specific Event Sailing Instructions govern.


  1. THURSDAY EVENING SERIES

    REGISTRATION: Submit a completed registration form and pay the appropriate fee to the CYC office at least three days prior to the first race entered.

    ELIGIBILITY: 49er, I-14, Etchell, Star, Tasar, Laser, Opti, and other one-design dinghy or keelboat fleets with five or more registered boats.

    CHECK-IN: The race committee would like all boats to sail by the race committee boat before racing.

    FIRST WARNING:   1754

    STARTING AREA: In the vicinity of the Shilshole breakwater.

    AWARDS: Personalized CYC engraved plaques for first, second and third place for each class will be available at the annual CYC awards party for those who order them.

  2. SPRING AND FALL WEEKEND SERIES

    REGISTRATION: Submit a completed registration form and pay the appropriate fee to the CYC office at least three days prior to the first race entered.

    ELIGIBILITY: 49er, I-14, Etchell, Star, Tasar, Laser, Opti, and other one-design dinghy or keelboat fleets with five or more registered boats.

    CHECK-IN: The race committee would like all boats to sail by the race committee boat before racing.

    FIRST WARNING:  1200

    STARTING AREA: In the vicinity of the Shilshole breakwater.

    TIME LIMIT: The time limit will be one hour for each boat in the class. This changes RRS rule 35. No race will be started after 1600.

  3. SPRING FROSTBITE REGATTA

    REGISTRATION: Submit a completed registration form and pay the appropriate fee to the CYC office at least three days prior to the first race entered. Registration will also be available between 0900 and 1000 on Saturday in the CYC Shilshole Clubhouse

    ELIGIBILITY: 49er, I-14, Etchell, Star, Tasar, Laser, Opti, and other one-design dinghy or keelboat fleets with five or more registered boats.

  4. SUMMER KEELBOAT REGATTA

    REGISTRATION: Submit a completed registration form and pay the appropriate fee to the CYC office at least three days prior to the first race entered. Registration will also be available between 0900 and 1000 on Saturday in the CYC Shilshole Clubhouse

    ELIGIBILITY: Etchell, Star, Soling, Olson 30, and other one-design keelboat fleets with five or more registered boats.

    CHECK-IN: The race committee would like all boats to sail by the race committee boat before racing.

    FIRST WARNING: 1200 on Saturday, 1100 on Sunday. No race will start after 1600.

    STARTING AREA: In the vicinity of the Shilshole breakwater.

  5. PUGET SOUND ONE-DESIGN FLEET CHAMPIONSHIPS

    (Event Chairman    ­ Volunteer Needed)

    REGISTRATION: Early registration aids in the planning of the regatta. Boats that have not paid a package fee and register by September 14 may take a $5 discount on their entry fee. Registration will also be available between 0900 and 1000 on Saturday in the CYC Shilshole Clubhouse.

    ELIGIBILITY: 49er, I-14, Etchell, Star, Thistle, Tasar, Snipe, Laser, Opti, and other one-design dinghy or keelboat fleets with five or more registered boats.

    CHECK-IN: The race committee would like all boats to sail by the race committee boat before racing.

    FIRST WARNING: 1200 on Saturday, 1100 on Sunday.

    STARTING AREA: In the vicinity of the Shilshole breakwater.

    TIME LIMIT: The time limit will be two hours for each boat in the class. This changes RRS rule 35.

    DINNER: A light meal on Saturday is included in the race fee.

    AWARDS: First, second and third place trophies will be awarded for each class. Awards will be presented at the clubhouse following racing on Sunday.

  6. TURKEY BOWL

    (Event Chairman - Volunteer Needed)

    REGISTRATION: Submit a completed registration form and pay the appropriate fee to the CYC office at least three days prior to the first race entered. Registration will also be available between 0900 and 1000 on Saturday in the CYC Shilshole Clubhouse.
