December 31, 2004 - January 1, 2005th - New Year's Eve Cruise
Join your CYC Cruising friends to celebrate New Year's Eve in Port Madison. In past years, New Year's Eve in Port Madison was a CYC tradition. We have the use of PMYC's clubhouse and any available moorage for this CYC activity, and we have enough money left in the Cruising Budget to provide a spiral cut ham for the potluck. Fridays in February (and one in March)
The lower level bar will open at 6:30PM, there will be appetizers and the talks will start promptly at 7:00PM. They will go until 9:00PM. The program will be in the lower level of the Shilshole clubhouse, because the upstairs and bar area will be under construction.
February 6: Staff Commodore Bill Lieberman, transiting the Panama Canal.
February 13: Allen and Norma Goldstein, a charter cruise in Greece.
February 20: Staff Commodore Dick Marshall will present a slide show on a topic to be announced.
February 27: David Burch, of Starpath Navigation, will discuss GPS and tricks with its use.
March 5: Scott Rohrer will describe the restoration of the R Boat Pirate at Center for Wooden Boats. Pirate was built on Lake Union, and successfully raced both here and on the East Coast.
March 20-21th - PMYC
Join CYC at the Port Madison Yacht Club. We are delighted to be able to use the Club House and are planning to have a potluck on the premises. Fred Pot will be leading this cruise. April 24-25th - Pizza Cruise in Kingston

May 29-31th - Memorial Weekend
Revised Itinerary: Hood Head (just inside Hood Canal) Saturday then Mystery Bay Sunday
Saturday, social gathering 1600-1800 hrs on somebody's boat with potluck-type horsdoeuvres. Sunday, similar social hour at Mystery Bay followed by dinner, with main dish being salmon (precooked, provided by Dave's budget) and salads and desserts provided by everyone else (A thru middle of the alphabet, based on boat's name for the salads, and the others for the other.) BYOB. The menu can be adjusted for other seafoods as luck provides; steamed clams, saute'd oysters, mussels, or anything imaginative with fresh caught fish.
Current rules regarding Seafood:
Area 9 (all of Admiralty Inlet N of Apple Cove Pt) is open to most bottom fish starting May 1; (Pt Townsand Bay is not open): Shell fish can be taken at any PUBLIC BEACH North of Hood Canal Bridge and on the South Shore of Indian Island and adjacent tidelands: i.e. 18 oysters per license, 1 1/2" minimum and shucked at the site.

June 5th - Leukemia Cup Cruising Division
Party after racing in a location to be determined with all other racers. The Cruising Class will be NFS.
June 12-13th - West side of Blake Island

July 3-5th - Poulsbø-Quartermaster Harbor, Gig Harbor
Join us in Poulsbo for their fireworks on July 3. Cruise to Quartermaster Harbor on July 4. Join QMC for their potluck party on the afternoon of July 4. July 31 - August 8th NORPAC (SYC race-cruise week in Barkley Sound
Join the longstanding favorite SYC Race - Cruise Week in Barkley Sound. Activities start on Sunday evening in Bamfield, and racing starts on Monday morning, with NFS races on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, ending up in Ucluelet for Banquet. Midway anchorages include Eagle Cove, Turtle Island and Effingham Bay. Wednesday is a lay day, with a barbeque on the beach hosted by the local Indian Band. August 14-15th - Commodore - Gibson
Join us on this fun race starting at Meadow Point buoy and ending in Pt. Ludlow. Winners and others will receive fabulous prizes! We will stay at the Pt. Ludlow Marina and have a potluck at the barbecue pit. Bring whatever you wish to barbecue… Please call the Port Ludlow Marina at (360) 437-0513 to reserve your slip. Tell them you are with CYC. For those interested in the Wooden Boat Festival, plan on staying in Mystery Bay - it is next to impossible to get into either Port Townsend marine on this very popular weekend.

Monday Lunch Group cruise and star raft in Port Blakely
The September Rendezvous is a long-standing activity of the Monday Lunch Group. In 2003, we successfully formed a Star Raft, and we intend to do it again. The more, the better. November 6-7th - Dinner Cruise
In 2003, the only boats that showed up were powerboats. Good for our members who have reached "that certain age" and moved to power. Makes all the young and hardy sailors look like a bunch of wimps, though. This year, we are hoping for a better representation of sail boats.
